How Am I supposed to Download this stuff?

To Download the Files, Your right click (Or on a laptop CTRL + Click) on the Links and choose "Save Target As" -- then specify where you want the file saved at on your computer. Easy as pie.

Is it ok to Download these Files?

Back in 2003 Amy Lee and Ben Moody were interviewed about this very subject. Even back then the Origin CD's were going for a crazy amount of money, money which the band didn't agree with. They encourage downloading the early stuff because they don't want you to waste the money! They also encourage it in the hope that if someone likes it they will go out and buy the cd once it releases. Below is the Interview transcript for your reading pleasure:

Interview with DC101 radio on February 24, 2003
Interviewer: Ben, do you guys get pissed when you find out people are downloading your music?
Ben: No
Interviewer: Not the old stuff, but I mean like anything like new that floats around?
Amy: We want people to hear our music however they can, and since the CD is not out - you know to go online and to download it, and to hear it, and see if they want to buy the album that's totally great. I encourage that. But you know we hope they'll like it enough to go buy the album when it comes out

Why Don't you have (insert name) available for download?

First off; I will also not host commercial dvd clips, music videos, or songs released on a Commercial Album (Fallen, Anywhere But Home, The Open Door). Please support the artists by Buying thier Albums. As for not housing all the Demo Files I have a very good reason. This site is compleatly funded by me, so I have to fork over the cash for additional bandwith and webspace. For right now, I am only including a limited number of files to judge the amount of webspace & bandwith I'm using. As time goes on I may add more files, but for right now I'm just testing the waters.

I got some "Angry Cat" page with some crap MIDI playing in the background. WTF? I just want music!

ROFLMAO! If you found "Angry Cat" then someone is being a bad webmaster. You see there are some really lazy webmasters out there who like to direct link to other sites files instead of uploading it to thier own servers. This act of sheer laziness sucks up my bandwith; causing me to resort to such measures as using Angry Cat and disabeling and Direct linking to the MP3 files from outside this website. (PS-> I purposely picked a crap MIDI version of "Symphony of Destruction" to blast people's speakers and get thier attention.)
